COLLINSVILLE, Ill. — People in one Metro East community are questioning what they’re supposed to do after forever chemicals were found in their drinking water.
Unfortunately, experts say in this case boiling water won’t work. The issue is connected to PFAS, widely-used, long lasting chemicals, which the EPA has given water systems until 2029 to fully remove from the system.
