LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Las Vegas will be aglow this October as the Asian Lantern Festival returns to the CSN Charleston Campus on Oct. 11. The event, organized by the Asian Community Development Council (ACDC), promises a vibrant celebration featuring over 40 food vendors, cultural performances, and the symbolic beauty of lanterns.
Vida Lin, founder and president of ACDC, shared the festival’s evolution: “ACDC has been putting on this event, which was formerly known as Asian Night Market, since 2018. Our goal is to bring together locals, tourists, and lovers of incredible cuisine to celebrate the AANHPI community.” Lin emphasized the festival’s new focus on lanterns, which symbolize “prosperity, family and reflections.”
Among the featured vendors is Hashtag India, marking its debut at the festival. Owner Dilip Tumma expressed enthusiasm: “We are super excited to be a first-time vendor at the Asian Lantern Festival. Our restaurant is relatively new in town, so getting this kind of exposure is wonderful for our business.”…
