A Columbus man wanted for shooting his own wife and child on Monday, September 22,2025 is now in police custody. Jontay Reynolds turned himself in to police Thursday and is scheduled to appear in Recorder’s Court for a preliminary hearing on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 1:30 p.m.
Patrol Officers responded to the 1800 block of Susan Lane in reference to reports of shots fired On Monday, September 22, 2025. Officers arrived on scene and located several shell casings in the roadway but no victims. Shortly after, a separate 911 call was received reporting two gunshot victims at the Columbus Police Department’s East Precinct.
The victims, a 24-year-old woman and her 7-year-old son, were transported by ambulance to Piedmont Columbus Regional. The child sustained minor injuries, and the woman is listed in critical condition…
