After more than a century on Columbus’ East Side, Resch’s Bakery is preparing for a new chapter. The beloved family-owned bakery will close its longtime East Livingston Avenue shop and reopen at 150 N. Hamilton Road in Gahanna.
Founded in 1912, Resch’s has been a destination for generations of Central Ohioans, known for its scratch-made doughnuts, buttercream cakes, cookies, and holiday specialties. For many families, birthdays, weddings, and weekend mornings wouldn’t be complete without a stop at Resch’s.
The move to Gahanna marks both an ending and a new beginning. While longtime patrons may feel nostalgic about saying goodbye to the original South Side storefront, the relocation ensures the bakery can continue serving the community in a modernized space with easier access for customers in Gahanna and surrounding suburbs…
