I finally got the chance to step inside the Acrisure Amphitheater this week, and let me just say, it’s already shaping up to be one of the most jaw-dropping venues in Michigan.
Sitting right on the Grand River, it’s hard not to imagine what it’s going to feel like next spring when the first notes of live music echo through the space.
Construction crews have been working non-stop to make sure the amphitheater is ready to welcome fans by opening day. Pioneer Construction Project Manager Eric Olson led our hard hat tour, guiding us through the massive project.
He didn’t give away details about what’s ahead of schedule or still in progress, but he did tell us one interesting thing: the seats are actually one of the very last features they’ll be putting in.
(It makes sense, but it looks so weird without them!) In front of the stage will be an open pit area that may occasionally allow chairs…
