Stretch of I-80 to close in Sacramento area for 55 hours. See when and where

Construction will close a key stretch of Interstate 80 for more than two days, according to the California Department of Transporation.

The 55-hour closure will affect access to westbound I-80 from the Interstate 50 interchange to the eastbound Highway 50 interchange in Yolo County, Caltrans said in a news release, as well as various on- and off-ramps in West Sacramento. Caltrans contractors are working to “complete demolition and pavement work,” the state roads agency said in the release.
