The Bird Island Stewards will host monthly guided nature walks every third Wednesday beginning next month through May 2026 on the Bird Island Coastal Reserve in Brunswick County.
The first walk will be hosted at reserve in Sunset Beach at 10 a.m. on Oct. 15.
During these topical walks, stewards will highlight the history, ecology, and wildlife of the reserve, which includes pristine sandy white beaches, dunes, and more than 1,000 acres of salt marsh and meandering creeks…
