Ozark explodes for 71 points, 551 yards of offense in shutout homecoming win

Ozark had a happy homecoming as the Tigers fired on all cylinders in a 71-0 win over Waynesville. It is the most points for Ozark since at least 2010 when MSHSAA started keeping records online. The previous high in that time period was a 69-point output on Aug. 25, 2012.

It was also the program’s first shutout since Sept. 16, 2022.

Jett Easley and Anthony Cordell paced a potent ground attack that tallied up 431 total yards and nine touchdowns on 41 carries. Easley had 10 carries for 157 yards and two touchdowns. Cordell carried 11 times for 104 yards and two touchdowns. Cale Roussell had three rushing touchdowns and 63 yards on eight carries. Rayce Widel rounded out the scoring on the ground turning his four carries into 21 yards and two touchdowns…
