Traffic changes on State Highway 16 to begin Sunday for construction work

STAR, Idaho (CBS2) — The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) will implement traffic changes on State Highway 16 starting Sunday, reducing the highway to one lane in each direction between the Boise River Bridge and State Highway 44.

This adjustment is necessary for crews to prepare and place concrete for SH-16 and construct the northbound off-ramp for the new interchange.

Motorists should be aware that northbound SH-16 traffic will be shifted onto the southbound lanes, while all lanes will remain open at the intersection with normal traffic operations.
