Pound and a half of drugs, over $25,000 seized in Chautauqua Co. raid

(WJET/WFXP)– A Jamestown, New York, man is in police custody after an investigation spanning several months allegedly uncovered nearly a pound and a half of drugs and tens of thousands of dollars.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office announced they arrested 34-year-old David Brown III after serving a search warrant in the 600 block of Monroe Street in Jamestown, NY, around 8:35 a.m. Friday morning, as part of a seven-month-long investigation.

Brown III was allegedly inside the home when police made their way in and took him into custody while they began their search, allegedly finding 643 grams (22.68 oz.) of cocaine and 40 grams of crack cocaine (1.41 oz.) along with scales and packaging for selling narcotics and $27,371 in cash.

He’s being charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and will be arraigned in City of Jamestown Court.
