Evansville Police arrest drunk driver they say ran into sinkhole construction equipment

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Evansville Police say a Newburgh man is facing drunk driving charges after hitting construction equipment at the Riverside Drive sinkhole.

According to police, they were called to the area at 1:08 a.m. on Sunday to an accident with unknown injuries.

When they arrived, officers say 30-year-old Dillen Blake was driving southeast in the northwest bound lanes on Riverside Drive when he hit the equipment.

EPD says there was no indication Blake tried to stop…
