Boca Raton Man Charged After Standoff and Threats to Monroe County Deputies in Florida Keys

A standoff in the Florida Keys ended with the arrest of a Boca Raton man who had barricaded himself in a home and threatened law enforcement officers. According to CBS12, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call on yesterday at about 9:42 p.m. reporting a trespasser at a property on the 62000 block of the Overseas Highway in Conch Key.

The property owner, who knew the accused, Damian Key Reynolds, had not given him permission to be on the premises. Reynolds became aggressive when confronted, falsely claimed to own the property, and threatened to shoot and kill the deputies if they did not leave.

Reynolds, 34, barricaded himself inside the residence but was arrested after deputies entered the home. The Tampa Free Press reported that Reynolds faces several charges, including threats to a law enforcement officer, burglary, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief…
