CALISTOGA, Calif. — In January, Daddy and his pasture mate, Chili, came to Sunrise Horse Rescue, a nonprofit whose mission is to rescue and provide a sanctuary for horses in desperate need from Napa and surrounding counties.
It didn’t go well for Chili as she had a lot of physical problems when she arrived and sometime later passed away. Daddy was bereft.
