PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A man was found guilty in the November 2023 shooting death of Darrio Mundon.
A jury found Ja’Marion Jemontte Williams guilty of voluntary manslaughter, possession of handgun or assault rifle under age 18 and felony reckless handling of firearm, concluding a two-day trial on July 17.
Evidence presented by the Commonwealth at trial determined Williams was among one of two groups in the 1100 block of Virginia Avenue on the night of the shooting. Both groups were gathered in a breezeway and began firing gunshots at each other…
