Question: What made you choose radiation oncology as your specialty, and what prompted your interest in this area of medicine?

A: Early on in medical school, oncology subject matter fascinated me the most. I knew by the end of my first year of medical school I will pursue an oncology-related specialty. The deep and lasting patient relationships, data-driven treatment recommendations, technological advancements in hardware and software, team-sport care approach all geared toward helping patients with cancer feel better in a non-invasive way (No needles! No anesthesia!) that minimally disrupts their lives was an irresistible combination for me.

Q: What’s the difference between a radiation oncologist and a medical oncologist? How does radiation therapy differ from chemotherapy?
