Cities and counties along the Grand Strand are preparing in anticipation of potential impacts from the tropical weather system expected to form into Tropical Storm Imelda.
HORRY COUNTY
On Friday at 2 p.m. The Horry County Council declared a localized state of emergency to “adopt emergency ordinances to meet public emergencies affecting life, health, safety or the property of the people in our area.”
As of 8 a.m. on Sunday, Horry County returned to OPCON 3, which is normal daily operations.
