When photographer Leslie Hewitt tries to capture an image, she does so in ways that explore the human condition and the collective memory by breaking down, removing and manipulating the traditional elements of a photo.
That’s led Hewitt to produce the kinds of abstract photo collages and vivid single-color photograms now displayed at the Norton Museum of Art.
“Leslie Hewitt: Achromatic Scales” runs until Feb. 22 and marks the first exhibition featuring pieces from Hewitt’s three longtime series, “Riffs on Real Time,” “Chromatic Grounds” and “Riffs on Real Time with Grounds,” according to the Norton…
