The LSU offense has been a major talking point so far in the 2025 season. The offense as a whole has looked out of whack and struggled to get anything going on a consistent basis. Against teams not named Southeastern Louisiana, LSU entered Week 5 scoring just 20 points per game through four games. It’s been enough to get to 4-0, but the offense has been bailed out by stellar play from the defense.
The Tigers picked off DJ Lagway five times against Florida, but the offense managed to score just one offensive touchdown and 13 total points. If it wasn’t for a Dashawn Spears pick-6, the Tigers were in serious danger of losing to the Gators despite an unbelievable performance from the defense.
The offensive woes have continued into Week 5 at No. 13 Ole Miss. In the first half agains the Rebels, LSU managed just 128 yards of total offense compared to Ole Miss’ 285. The Tiger running game collected just 24 rushing yards on nine carries, which averaged out to 2.7 yards per rush. Through 30 minutes, the Tigers had just seven first downs to Ole Miss’ 18, and had the ball for just over 12 minutes while the Rebels had nearly 18 minutes in time of possession…
