WTX Small Business Workshop helping entrepreneurs connect with local resources, Wednesday, Oct. 1

LUBBOCK, TX (NEWS RELEASE) – The final session of the 2025 WTX Small Business Workshop Series will highlight the “Overview of the South Plains Small Business Resource Hub,” an initiative designed to streamline small business support services across the region. The event is being hosted in partnership with the South Plains Association of Governments (SPAG), Caprock Business Finance Corporation (Caprock BFC), and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Texas Tech University.

This free, in-person workshop will introduce attendees to the new South Plains Small Business Resource Hub—a collaborative effort among key economic development organizations to help entrepreneurs easily access technical assistance, capital resources, and other support programs available throughout the South Plains region.

The workshop series is a direct outcome of the WTX Small Business Summit—a regional initiative that paused in 2025 to focus on year-round outreach efforts like this workshop. The Summit is expected to return in 2026 with expanded programming and deeper regional engagement…
