Milwaukee residents of the 6th District, mark your calendars for an important town hall meeting set to discuss the 2026 city budget this upcoming Tuesday. Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs is spearheading the event, which will take place in the community room at the MLK Library located at 2901 N. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
According to an advisory posted on the city’s official website, the meeting is expected to genuinely engage the public with presentations from key city officials. In a concerted effort to transparently communicate the inner workings of the Mayor’s proposed budget, Nik Kovac, director of the Department of Administration Budget Office, will be present to elucidate the financial proposals and their projected impact on the community.
Furthermore, representatives from a variety of municipal departments, including the Neighborhood Improvement Development Corp. (NIDC), Department of Neighborhood Services (DNS), Department of Public Works (DPW), Department of City Development, and officers from both District Five and District One of the Milwaukee Police Department, will be in attendance.
