HONOLULU (KHON2) — By order of Gov. Josh Green, flags of the United States and the state of Hawai‘i will be flown at half-staff on Sept. 29 until sunset on Oct. 1.
This solemn act follows the attack at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc, Michigan, that resulted in three deaths, including the suspect, and others were injured on Sept. 28.

“Our hearts ache as we see the senseless violence that occurred again on the mainland, this time at a Michigan Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,” Green said.
