Dolly Parton Postpones Las Vegas Residency Due to Health Concerns

Country music superstar Dolly Parton has announced the postponement of her highly anticipated Las Vegas concert residency, citing recent “health challenges.” The beloved entertainer shared the news on Sunday, informing fans that her doctor has advised her to undergo “a few procedures.”

Parton, 79, did not specify the nature of her medical needs but maintained her characteristic wit. In an online post, she lightheartedly remarked that it “must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!” The announcement comes several months after the loss of her husband of more than 60 years in March.

The health issues will prevent Parton from adequately rehearsing for the demanding Vegas shows. However, she assured her followers that she would still be able to continue working on her numerous other projects from her home in Nashville. “You pay good money to pay me perform, and I want to be at my best for you,” Parton stated, underscoring her dedication to her audience.

The concerts, initially scheduled to run from December 4 through December 13, have now been rescheduled for September 2026. In addition to her touring, Parton is also working on an upcoming Broadway musical based on her life story. Titled “Hello, I’m Dolly,” the production will feature her original music and lyrics and is also slated for a 2026 debut.
