BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — It was an eventful weather weekend across parts of Kern County. Afternoon and evening thunderstorms rotated in from the northeast around an upper-level low over far southern California put on some post-sunset lightning displays around the Tehachapi area Friday and some flash-flooding in and around Lake Isabella Saturday. Even Bakersfield picked up some showers both Friday night and Saturday afternoon, amounting to a “trace” of precipitation each time at the airport.
