Driver, 33, dies after bystanders pull him, 2 others from burning vehicle on I-83

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — After a car wrecked on I-83 and quickly caught fire, passing drivers stopped and pulled three people from the burning vehicle, according to the county coroner.

The driver of the vehicle, a 33-year-old man whose name has not yet been released, ultimately died from injuries he suffered in the crash Sunday morning.

The coroner’s office said it responded to I-83 south near Exit 40A in Fairview Township around 8:12 a.m. Sunday to find a vehicle left the road while trying to exit the highway, crashing head-on into a concrete barrier…
