Napa County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) announces the launch of Be Well Mobile Services, a new RV-style vehicle that provides immediate access to a broad range of services to individuals and families in Napa County. On-site Medi-Cal, CalFresh, and CalWORKs enrollment and help with maintaining coverage and benefits, plus screening and access to Behavioral Health Services (both Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders Treatment) are among the services that HHSA has readily available through the new mobile service. The unit will be strategically located in downtown Napa at the Sullivan Parking Lot K located at the corner of Third and Coombs streets, and hours of operation will be Mondays from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. (except for county holidays). For the day of the launch, Sept. 29, the unit will be operating from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the downtown location.
As part of the launch of Be Well Mobile Services, a new calendar has been created that informs the public where our vehicle will be located offering a wide range of services (variable by location and dates) including eligibility determinations, quick screenings, referrals, and onsite or same-day connections to Medi-Cal Health Insurance, CalFresh Benefits, CalWORKs Program Benefits, Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Benefits, Food and Nutrition Services, Behavioral Health Services, In-Home Supportive Services, Veterans Benefit Services, Seasonal Vaccinations, and more. “We are excited to bring a central and conveniently located access point to services available at HHSA and services we have curated for our community members in partnership with other health and social services providers, meeting people where they are,” said Jennifer Yasumoto, Director of Napa County Health and Human Services Agency. “Be Well Mobile Services helps remove barriers so people can get the care and benefits they need, quickly, respectfully, and closer to home. It also allows us to serve our community in normal times and to be at the ready in providing our services in times of disaster.”…
