North Carolina Coastal Federation seeking volunteers for wetland planting

CAROLINA BEACH, N.C. (WECT) – The North Carolina Coastal Federation is in need of volunteers for wetland planting in Carolina Beach State Park.

According to the Federation, the planting is part of their wetland restoration project in partnership with the park. The work includes removing invasive species, building oyster reefs, and planting native plants.

Volunteers will assist in planting native species that support wildlife and improve water quality in the Lower Cape Fear River region…
