El Paso pet owner cited after dog mauls 87-year-old; two dogs surrendered to authorities

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Animal Services of El Paso reports that it took two dogs and issued dozens of citations to a pet owner in Central after one of their dogs mauled an 87-year-old man.

According to Animal Services, the owner of the dog that mauled an 87-year-old man back on Sept. 17 received a total of 24 citations and surrendered two dogs to the shelter.

This follows after officers with the El Paso Police Department had to shoot and kill one of the dogs after it attacked a man, leaving him with serious injuries…
