FGCU has seen several additions and upgrades to its young and growing campus. From the new buildings behind the library to the soon-to-be-finished renovation of Cohen Student Union, Eagles are witnessing plenty of change. One of the most noticeable additions is the fleet of Grubhub robots that now roam campus.
These robots were introduced to help students get food and supplies without needing to leave their dorm halls or study spots. They’ve been helpful for students, saving both time and money on gas. However, the robots have drawn criticism for their clumsy movements and unpredictable behavior.
At times, the bots will abruptly change course, catching passersby off guard. Even though they have turn signals and headlights, neither the student nor the other robots can make out which direction they’ll go next…
