MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A member of the Darrin Southall drug organization that operated in the Mobile area has been sentenced in federal court, according to the Department of Justice.

Henderson Pippins, 45, of Mobile, was sentenced to more than 16 years in federal prison, according to a DOJ news release. The charges are conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and heroin, and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
Court documents revealed Southall ran a criminal enterprise that distributed massive amounts of controlled substances in the Mobile area and laundered the money from that distribution through bank accounts established by “nominees” or a third party.
According to those court documents, Pippins was a kilogram-level distributor of drugs in the Mobile area.
Southall was previously sentenced to 35 years in prison after pleading guilty to conducting a continuing criminal enterprise, drug distribution, and conspiracy to launder drug proceeds…
