MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — The Mobile City Council is set to vote on an ordinance regarding taxing vape products on Tuesday at their weekly meeting.

The ordinance would impose an excise tax on “consumable vapor product wholesalers,” as well as add a $150 annual business license fee.
Through the tax, 10 cents would be added per milliliter to vape products that are sold and delivered within corporate limits.
Five cents would be added per milliliter to products sold and delivered outside corporate limits but within the Mobile Police Department’s jurisdiction.
