PENSACOLA, Fla. — The City of Pensacola has officially acquired the old Baptist Hospital campus on E and Moreno Streets.
The city announced the acquisition on Monday.
“The property transfer, totaling approximately 41 acres, finalized through a donation agreement with Baptist Health Care, represents one of the most transformational development opportunities in Pensacola’s recent history,” the city says in a press release. “The agreement originated from a letter of intent signed in early January 2024 by Pensacola Mayor D.C. Reeves and Mark Faulkner of Baptist Health Care, stating that Baptist would donate the legacy campus to the city for redevelopment upon the city securing sufficient funding for demolition and remediation.”…
