Garbage truck empties smoldering trash at North Texas fire station

WYLIE, Texas — It’s not every day you see a mountain of smoldering garbage outside your local fire station — but that’s exactly what happened Monday afternoon at Wylie Fire Station 3.

Wes Hart first heard about the heap of trash from a friend and wanted to see it for himself. The sight and smell were as remarkable as the location: the parking lot of the neighborhood fire station.
