Two arrested, accused in drug bust at Slidell area home

SLIDELL, La. (WGNO) — The discovery of drugs and guns led to the arrest of two people in St. Tammany Parish in early September.

Deputies with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that on Sept. 11, they were alerted of alleged illegal drug activity at a home in the 100 block of Mirecourt Circle in Slidell.

STPSO Protective Enforcement Unit with the help of STPSO narcotics detectives searched the home and allegedly found:

  • 38 grams of fentanyl powder
  • 45 grams of Ecstasy pills containing methamphetamine (separately packaged within 13 bags)
  • 54 grams of crack cocaine (separately packaged within 8 bags)
  • 5 grams of cocaine powder
  • 54 grams of “green rock” fentanyl
  • 52 grams of marijuana
  • One Glock 17 “M” semi-automatic handgun
  • One Taurus G2C semi-automatic handgun
  • 8 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) gummies
  • 43 grams of Kratom powder
  • $2,067 dollars
  • Assorted drug paraphernalia to include packaging material and scale

Also in the home were 34-year-old Troy Smith and 21-year-old Dasha Johnson. The two were arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center.

Smith was booked on charges of:

  • Two counts of possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS (Cocaine)
  • Two counts of possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS (Fentanyl)
  • Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine)
  • Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule I CDS (Marijuana)
  • Illegal Carry of weapon in the presence of a CDS
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses
  • Obstruction of Justice
  • Drug Paraphernalia
