If you travel far enough down Swan Lake Road in Bossier City, you’ll eventually come across the notorious JuJu Road. Before the Civil War, this secluded area was a peaceful, quiet place, until it became the site of a brutal murder.
The story, passed down through generations, claims that a slave named JuJu was caught by his master with his daughter. In a fit of rage, the master dragged JuJu away and lynched him from a tree.
Locals consider this stretch of road to be one of the most intensely haunted places in all of Northwest Louisiana.
