ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Meals on Wheels helps deliver healthy meals to more than 2,000 homebound people in New Mexico but they’re dealing with a volunteer shortage.
“We’ve grown so much over the past few years. Our routes have grown. We’ve added probably about five different routes. For each route that we add, we need at least five brand new volunteers, so we’re looking for probably about 30 volunteers to come and join us,” said Shana Frost, the CEO of Meals on Wheels in New Mexico.
