After a prolonged legislative special session, the state Senate today passed a bill to raise money for transportation and avert layoffs at ODOT. It will increase the state gasoline tax, the payroll transit tax, and various vehicle fees. The bill has already passed the House, and Gov. Tina Kotek is expected to sign it.
