Dog credited with saving family’s lives during Anchorage apartment fire

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – An Anchorage family says their dog saved their lives when a fast-moving apartment fire tore through their apartment building, displacing dozens of residents.

Christian Napoleon said he, his grandmother, and father were asleep in their third-floor unit when flames broke out around 1 a.m. Friday morning. He told Alaska’s News Source he never heard the alarm.

“The only thing that did wake me up was my dog,” he said. “In all reality, my dog did save our lives.”…
