Man sentenced for assaulting KCSO deputy

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man found guilty of assaulting a Kern County sheriff’s deputy who attempted to detain him has been sentenced to prison.

Quane Dupri Sutton was given a five-year term at Monday’s sentencing hearing, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

A jury last month found the 26-year-old Sutton guilty of assault and battery on a peace officer but acquitted him of attempted murder, grand theft and vandalism…
