LOUISVILLE, Ky. (KT) – Due to both some upsets and impressive performances this past weekend, there was a lot of movement in the Associated Press and Coaches polls when they were released Sunday. But contrary to expectations, Louisville remained on the outside looking in, stuck in the “others receiving votes” category.
U of L (4-0, 1-0) now has the dubious distinction of being one of only two undefeated teams from a Power Four conference to remain unranked in the Top 25, the other being Maryland (5-0) of the Big Ten. There are five unranked teams with a perfect record from the Group of Five or other conferences — Houston (4-0), Memphis (5-0), Navy (4-0), North Texas (5-0) and UNLV (4-0).
In the AP voting, the Cardinals are No. 30, behind South Florida, Utah, Mississippi State and Memphis, while they trail only Memphis in the Coaches poll…
