Thanks to the quick actions of officers with the Oak Grove Police Department, they were able to save a man’s life and get him the help he needed on Monday.
According to the Oak Grove Police Department, officers responded to a home a on Cheshire Way to conduct a welfare check on a military veteran who appeared to be in distress while armed with a handgun and threating to hurt himself.
Upon arrival, officers were able to see the veteran through a window, holding a pistol to his head. Officers quickly established communication with him and were able to convince him to drop the handgun and surrender to police. From there, they transported him to a mental health facility to get the help he badly needed…
