Cranston home damaged by crash

CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — A crash Tuesday morning caused damage to the front of a Cranston home.

The crash happened around 7:45 a.m. at the intersection of Whipple and Franklin avenues. Cranston police said their initial investigation showed a driver ran a stop sign and hit another vehicle.

As a result, one vehicle struck a utility pole and the other jumped the curb and hit the front steps of 79 Whipple Ave. This caused structural damage to the awning above the entrance, according to police…
