Leon County Sheriff’s Office expands ‘Anatomy of a Homicide’ research project

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Leon County Sheriff’s Office is expanding its “Anatomy of a Homicide” project to better understand the root causes of crime in the community.

Originally released in 2021, the first phase of the study analyzed 141 homicides in Leon County between 2015 and 2020 by looking at the location, race, and sex of the offenders and victims.
