AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – Faith City Mission announced its participation in “Conversations on a Bench”, a 24-hour livestream event taking place across North America in recognition of World Homelessness Day.
According to officials with Faith City Mission, the event will feature 67 ministry leaders taking a seat on a bench in their city to listen, speak, and reflect on the root causes of homelessness while highlighting real stories of transformation, healing, and hope through Christ-centered care.

Officials stated the event is begins on Oct. 9 at 1 p.m. and will continue on livestream until Oct. 10 at 1 p.m. The event will be an opportunity for leaders to:
- Shift public perception around homelessness;
- Show compassion in action through Christian outreach;
- Listen to stories that often go unheard;
- Celebrate the work being done in ministries like Faith City Mission; and
- Raise awareness and hope with one bench and with one conversation at a time.
Faith City Mission officials are inviting the Amarillo community to join the livestream and share the event.
