Police ID woman killed when minivan, tractor-trailer crash in southeast Lubbock

Police have identified a 31-year-old woman who died when a minivan and tractor-trailer collided early Monday on Slaton Highway in southeast Lubbock.

First responders were initially called for a report of a collision involving a minivan and tractor-trailer about 6:13 a.m. in the 4100 block of Slaton Highway, according to a statement from Lubbock police.

Upon arrival, officers located Jenna Garcia, 31, dead at the scene. She was the sole occupant of the minivan. The driver of the tractor-trailer, 72-year-old Henry Kesey, suffered minor injuries and was taken via ambulance to University Medical Center…
