On Saturday, July 5th, 2025, at approximately 10:44 p.m., members of the Plainfield Police Department and Plainfield Fire Protection District responded to a report of a person shot in the area of Settler’s Park, located at 24401 West Lockport Street in Plainfield, Illinois.
Following a comprehensive investigation that spanned nearly three months, Plainfield Police detectives identified a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant for Joseph De Dios, who was determined to be responsible for the incident.
