Firefighters progress on Foley Ridge Fire, containment at 58%

LANE COUNTY, Ore. — Fire crews continue to make progress along the Foley Ridge Fire, burning east of Springfield, with firefighters set to repair and rehabilitate areas that were damaged from firefighting operations.

Crews will continue their work along Foley Ridge Road to reduce fire fuels for Tuesday’s focus; Containment efforts around the blaze have now surpassed 50%.

Highway 242, aka McKenzie Highway, is no longer closed due to fire activity, however, the closure between MP 61.91 and MP 76.80. will remain in effect as a seasonal closure, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT)…
