LANE COUNTY, Ore. – Lane County is actively working to ensure public readiness for potential emergencies with its “Six Weeks of Ready” campaign, according to county emergency officials.
Lane County officials said that the initiative, which began on Sept. 11 and continues through October, offers weekly step-by-step guidance on emergency preparedness.
“We’d like for people to think about it all year and many people do and so for preparedness month that encourages people that are already prepared to think about leveling up,” said Tiffany Brown, County Emergency Manager for Lane County. “And gets the average person that hasn’t thought much of preparedness some simple steps to get started.”…
