NEWBERG, Ore. (KATU) — A tragic pilot training flight conducted by the Ascend Pilot Academy has led to a lawsuit seeking $57 million in damages.
The crash resulted in the deaths of Certified Flight Instructor Michele Cavallotti and student pilot Barrett Bevacqua. Plaintiff Hurd, who was a passenger observer on the flight, survived but sustained serious injuries, including spinal injuries and traumatic brain injury.
