RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — The Richland County Sheriff’s Department announced Tuesday the arrest of a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting on Mellowood Drive earlier this month.
Deputies identified Benjamin Hampton, 31, during the investigation as the shooter in the Sept. 21 killing. Warrants were obtained for his arrest on Friday.
Authorities charged Hampton with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and he is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing…
