Feds accuse three of selling counterfeit documents

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Three Guatemalan nationals have been arrested on charges of providing counterfeit permanent resident cards and Social Security numbers to people living in the country illegally, federal prosecutors say.

Norma Yanari Ayala, Rigoberto Vasquez-Vasquez and Edgidio Vasquez-Mencho were arrested Tuesday on charges of conspiracy to transfer false identification documents and transfer false identification documents after being indicted by a grand jury, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
